Bitmine Raises Ethereum Treasury to 5.7 Million ETH, Joins Russell 1000 Index

Bitmine Immersion Technologies (ticker BMNR) announced that it purchased an additional 27,084 ETH for about $42‑$43 million, bringing its total Ethereum holdings to 5,700,040 ETH – roughly 4.7 % of the circulating supply and 94 % of its 5 % target. The assets are valued at nearly $9 billion, and about 85 % of the tokens (4.9 million ETH) are staked on the company’s MAVAN platform, generating an estimated $211 million in annual revenue.

The company was added to the Russell 1000 large‑cap index on 26 June 2026, a move that chairman Tom Lee says could draw “hundreds and possibly thousands” of new institutional investors, since many funds track the index. Despite a recent 7‑8 % drop in the price of ETH, Lee attributes the decline to quarter‑end “window dressing” rather than fundamentals, and remains bullish on Ethereum’s long‑term role in Wall Street infrastructure and AI‑driven payment systems.

Bitmine’s total assets, including cash, securities and other strategic investments, total about $9.8 billion, underscoring its position as the world’s largest corporate Ethereum holder.
