BitMine boosts Ethereum holdings amid price dip
BitMine Immersion Technologies bought 71,672 Ether (about $151 million) after the cryptocurrency fell below $2,200, taking its total reserve to roughly 5.28 million ETH, valued at around $11.1 billion. The purchase follows a slower week in which the firm added only $62 million of ETH, signaling a shift back to more aggressive accumulation.
President Tom Lee said the recent pull‑back in ETH price is an “attractive opportunity” and expressed confidence that a “crypto spring” is underway, pointing to regulatory progress such as the Clarity Act that could bring greater certainty to the industry. Despite ETH sliding more than 9 % after the purchase, BitMine remains optimistic about the asset’s role in trends like decentralized finance and real‑world asset tokenization.
