Bitmine Immersion Technologies Expands Ether Treasury to 5.79 million ETH

Bitmine Immersion Technologies announced that it now holds 5.79 million Ether, representing roughly 4.8 % of the cryptocurrency’s circulating supply. The increase follows the purchase of nearly 10,000 ETH over the past week. About 4.9 million ETH – roughly 85 % of the position – are already staked through the company’s validator network, and Bitmine projects annualized staking rewards of about $299 million once the full amount is deployed.

The firm’s total crypto, cash and marketable‑securities holdings were valued at approximately $11.8 billion as of 26 July. Bitmine’s chairman, Tom Lee, highlighted that the ETH/BTC price ratio has risen to a three‑month high, which he says signals strengthening momentum for Ether. The company also accelerated its $4 billion share‑repurchase program, buying back 6.1 million shares and bringing the total repurchased volume since early July to 11.6 million – the largest buyback by any public Ethereum or Bitcoin treasury firm. Market data showed Ether outperformed Bitcoin in the same period, gaining about 2.4 % while Bitcoin fell roughly 0.7 %.
