BitMine Immersion Technologies Holds 4.8% of Ethereum Supply
BitMine Immersion Technologies (NYSE: BMNR) now controls about 5.78 million ETH, roughly 4.8% of the 120.7 million ether tokens in circulation. The company added 7,430 ETH in the most recent week, bringing its total to 5,777,468 ETH and valuing its crypto holdings at around $11.5 billion.
Recent purchases include 42,197 ETH worth about $73 million and a $13.8 million buy of 7,430 ETH, while the firm has already invested $19.44 billion in ether overall. More than 85% of its ETH (about 4.9 million tokens) is staked through its Made‑in‑America Validator Network, generating an estimated $247 million of annual passive income.
BitMine also repurchased roughly 5.5 million of its own shares at an average price of $15.62 under a $4 billion buy‑back program, aiming to boost shareholder value. The firm’s stated “alchemy of 5%” target – ownership of 5% of all circulating ether (≈6.04 million ETH) – is now within reach, with only about 507,000 ETH remaining to hit the goal. Stock analysts noted the large ETH purchase caused the company’s shares to fall in the following session, reflecting market concerns about concentration risk.
