Bitola invests 310 million denars in school sports infrastructure

Bitola Mayor Toni Konjanovski announced that schools in the Bitola Municipality are prepared for the 2026/2027 academic year following significant summer investments. Over 310 million denars are being allocated to school sports infrastructure, funded by both the government and the municipal budget.

The investment includes the development of 24 sports courts across various primary schools, including Goce Delchev, Dame Gruev, Todor Angelevski, Gjorgji Sugarev, Sveti Kliment Ohridski, and Kole Kaninski. Additionally, three standard school sports halls are under construction in Stiv Naumov, Dolno Orizari, and Todor Angelevski, with another hall being built in Bistrica.

Parallel to sports infrastructure, projects are underway to improve energy efficiency. This includes the installation of photovoltaic panels at several schools, such as Sveti Kliment Ohridski, and the implementation of heat pumps and energy-efficient facades at schools like Stiv Naumov and the facility in Bukovski Livadi to reduce reliance on extra light oil.
