Bitola Officers' House project revitalizes century-old photo archives

The project ‘Officers' House – Resonant Memory of the City of Bitola’ will conclude with an event on October 28 at the Officers' House in Bitola. The initiative features digital photographs and promotional videos created by young authors inspired by century-old archives and the photographic records of the Manaki brothers.

Through specialized workshops, young participants studied the visual history of the architectural landmark, analog photography processes, digital archiving, and modern digital editing tools. The project aims to connect historical archives with contemporary creative technologies to promote local cultural heritage and enhance Bitola's cultural and tourism offerings.

The project is supported by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and implemented by ‘FlatForm Film’ in collaboration with CERI Bitola, KIC Bitola, and the Bitola Department of the State Archives.
