Bitonto animal association files complaint after kitten hit by car

The animal welfare association ‘Qua la zampa HEART’ has filed a complaint following an incident in Bitonto where a kitten was left severely injured after being struck by a vehicle on Via Traetta.

According to the association, the kitten was discovered around 8:30 PM on Tuesday, September 15. Despite attempts by a passerby to contact the Local Police, the association claims they were told the intervention was ‘not our competence.’ The animal remained on the ground near the sidewalk while traffic continued to pass.

Volunteers eventually rescued the kitten and transported it to a clinic. The animal suffered extreme injuries, including internal organ trauma, hematomas, a fractured hind leg, and the complete amputation of a front right paw, alongside significant psychological trauma.
