Bitonto Calcio suffers second consecutive defeat against Ugento

Bitonto Calcio suffered its second consecutive defeat in the Eccellenza pugliese championship following a 1-0 away loss to Ugento. The decisive moment occurred in the 20th minute of the second half when Becherri scored for the home side.

Bitonto manager Francesco Modesto described the defeat as “unmerited,” noting that his team controlled parts of the match and created several scoring opportunities but lacked the precision to convert them. Following the goal, Ugento adopted a defensive posture that made a comeback difficult for the visitors.

Club Vice President Giovanni Brindicci emphasized the need to move past recent disappointments, including a recent exit from the Coppa Italia, to focus on the league. Bitonto currently sits at 10 points in the standings and must prepare for their upcoming home match against Galatina to regain momentum.
