Bitonto completes Piazza Moro urban regeneration project

The regeneration project for Piazza Moro in Bitonto has been completed. The local branch of Rifondazione Comunista expressed satisfaction with the outcome, noting that many requests from the party and local citizens were addressed.

While the party expressed a preference for different bench placement, they praised the municipal administration and project management for listening to the community, which helped prevent the square from becoming a deserted space. The project has resulted in increased greenery in the area. Moving forward, the party is advocating for the preservation of existing tree lines on Via Repubblica for climate mitigation and is opposing a proposed underground parking lot in Piazza Marconi, citing potential risks to historical buildings and archaeological sites.
