Bitonto implements experimental cemetery shuttle services

The administration in Bitonto has launched experimental mobility services at the municipal cemetery in preparation for the commemoration of the deceased. The initiative includes a free 20-seat shuttle bus operating on Sunday, November 1, and Monday, November 2, from 8:00 to 12:00. Additionally, an internal golf car will be available from October 30 to November 4 during opening hours, specifically reserved for individuals with mobility difficulties.

Lega Italia councilors Onofrio Altamura and Ivan Lorusso expressed satisfaction with the rollout, noting that the idea originated from an inquiry filed by Altamura in March 2023. The councilors have called for the service to become permanent rather than being limited to commemorative dates, and they requested that the service be extended to the cemeteries in Palombaio and Mariotto.
