Bitpace integrates Fireblocks to enhance stablecoin settlements
Bitpace, a London-based crypto payment gateway, has integrated Fireblocks’ infrastructure to enhance its cross-border stablecoin settlement capabilities. The collaboration aims to provide merchants and businesses with more efficient ways to route and settle payments, particularly using USDC, by bypassing traditional correspondent banking systems.
Through this integration, Bitpace gains access to Fireblocks’ institutional-grade custody tools, which utilize multi-party computation (MPC) to secure digital assets. This technology allows for faster liquidity access and more robust security for multi-currency treasuries. The move is intended to address the high costs and slow speeds associated with traditional international banking, where transactions can take days and incur significant fees.
Bitpace, founded in 2016, supports transactions across more than 70 tokens and reports monthly transaction volumes exceeding $1 billion. Fireblocks, based in New York, provides the security architecture that enables Bitpace to scale its global payment services with enhanced operational confidence.
