Bitpanda CEO Lukas Enzersdorfer-Konrad to step down in 2027

Bitpanda, the Vienna-based cryptocurrency exchange, has announced that CEO Lukas Enzersdorfer-Konrad intends to step down in the first quarter of 2027. To manage the transition, co-founder and Chief Scientist Christian Trummer will immediately assume the role of Co-CEO alongside Enzersdorfer-Konrad.

Enzersdorfer-Konrad will continue to lead the company as the full CEO until his departure. During this period, the Board of Directors has initiated a structured search for a permanent successor, evaluating both internal and external candidates.

Trummer’s involvement as Co-CEO is intended to provide executive focus on product excellence and technology as Bitpanda expands its multi-asset offerings, which include cryptocurrencies, stocks, ETFs, and precious metals. The company also aims to grow its infrastructure for global financial institutions.
