BITS Pilani to offer full tuition scholarships to top 1,000 rankers
BITS Pilani has announced a new initiative to provide 100% tuition fee scholarships to the top 1,000 rankers of the BITSAT entrance exam, starting with the 2027 admission cycle.
To qualify, students must have an annual family income of up to Rs 20 lakh. The scholarship covers the entire four-year undergraduate programme and is integrated directly into admission offers, removing the need for a separate application process. To maintain the scholarship, students must uphold a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 7.5.
Group Vice-Chancellor V Ramgopal Rao stated that the goal is to allow top performers to choose the institution based on aspiration rather than affordability. In the 2025-26 academic year, the institution disbursed approximately Rs 190 crores in various scholarships and fellowships, with Rs 101 crores specifically supporting undergraduate students.
