Bitso and Mercado Bitcoin partner in Brazil for corporate payments

Bitso and Mercado Bitcoin (MB) have announced a strategic partnership in Brazil to integrate their payment infrastructures for corporate clients. The agreement enables Brazilian companies to access instantaneous international payments in both local and foreign currencies, including the US dollar, Brazilian real, Mexican peso, Colombian peso, and Argentine peso. The collaboration also facilitates regulated fiat payment accounts and international transactions using stablecoins to reduce costs and processing times for global firms operating in Brazil.

As part of the deal, Bitso’s retail customers in Brazil will migrate to the Mercado Bitcoin platform. To facilitate this transition, migrating users will receive benefits such as extended zero-fee periods for cryptocurrency trading, specialized digital fixed-income products, and enhanced staking opportunities. Together, the two companies serve approximately 15 million customers with an annual transaction volume exceeding $130 billion.

Separately, the ViaBTC Group continues to operate as a dual-engine ecosystem in the cryptocurrency sector through its two main branches: CoinEx and ViaBTC. While CoinEx focuses on market making to provide liquidity and market efficiency, ViaBTC operates as a major mining pool that aggregates hashrate to ensure network security. Since its founding in 2016, ViaBTC has grown to serve over 2 million users across more than 150 countries.
