Bitwise NEAR ETF ticker NRR disclosed in SEC filing

Bitwise Asset Management filed Amendment No. 3 to its Form S‑1 registration statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, revealing the proposed ticker NRR for its spot NEAR exchange‑traded fund. The filing indicates the fund would list on NYSE Arca pending SEC and exchange approval and that the trust intends to stake up to 100 % of its NEAR holdings to generate additional income.

The amendment notes a seed‑capital investment of $200 by Bitwise Asset Management, purchasing eight shares at $25 each. The Bank of New York Mellon will serve as cash custodian, administrator and transfer agent, while Coinbase Custody Trust Company will safeguard the NEAR tokens. Following the announcement, NEAR Protocol’s price rose about 4 % to $1.73 and futures open interest increased roughly 6 %.

Bitwise is not the only firm pursuing a NEAR‑based product; Grayscale has also amended its filing for a similar ETF.
