BIX 2026 biotechnology convention to be held in Seoul

The BIOPLUS-INTERPHEX KOREA 2026 (BIX 2026) biotechnology and pharmaceutical convention is scheduled to take place at COEX in Seoul from October 28 to 30. Organized by the Korea Biotechnology Industry Organization, the event is expected to be a record-breaking edition featuring more than 300 companies and 600 exhibition booths.

The three-day conference will include 30 sessions with over 90 domestic and international speakers. Key topics of discussion include AI-driven drug development, radiopharmaceuticals (RPT), post-GLP-1 obesity treatments, and space-enabled biopharma. The event will also address commercialization strategies such as mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and global investment.

Canada will participate as the Country of Honor, sending a delegation of approximately 30 biotechnology and healthcare companies and hosting a dedicated Canada Pavilion. The program also features a demonstration of brain-computer interface (BCI) technology.
