BIX 2026 conference to focus on next-generation obesity treatments

The BIOPLUS-INTERPHEX KOREA 2026 (BIX 2026) convention has released its full conference schedule. The event is set to take place from October 28 to 30 at the COEX convention center in Seoul, South Korea.

Featuring approximately 300 companies and over 90 speakers, the conference will address various emerging trends in the biotechnology sector. A primary focus will be the ‘Post-GLP-1’ session, which examines the next generation of obesity treatments. Experts will discuss investment strategies, development competition, and global market expansion following the success of GLP-1 class therapies.

Key speakers include Billy Cho of CBC Group, Huizhong Xiong of Innovent Biologics, Choi In-young of Hanmi Pharmaceutical, and Lee Seul-gi of D&D Pharmatech. Other major topics include AI-driven drug discovery, radiopharmaceuticals (RPT), mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and new business sectors such as ‘Food as Medicine’ and space medicine. The event will also feature an exhibition of 600 booths and business partnering opportunities.
