CE Europa denounces police action against fan in Alcorcón

In Spain, several distinct incidents involving political tension and police intervention have been reported.

CE Europa has denounced the National Police for a “disproportionate” action against a supporter during a match in Alcorcón. The club claims the fan was grabbed by the neck, thrown to the ground, and hit after displaying an estelada flag. The club further alleged that officers attempted to force the individual to declare himself Spanish and threatened him with sanctions under the Sports Law. In solidarity, visiting fans abandoned the stands.

In Igualada, three militants from a local popular movement have been summoned to testify before the Mossos d’Esquadra. This follows a complaint by Aliança Catalana regarding an incident on August 22 during a community meal. Protesters had reportedly thrown salt on a paella prepared by the political group. Local organizations, including La Coll@nada and El Foment, have expressed support for the militants, accusing authorities of attempting to “criminalize anti-fascist responses.”

Other local security incidents include the arrest of two men in Lleida for attempting to break into an apartment and reports of increased insecurity in Bixquert and Manresa, where residents have expressed growing concern over trespassing and violent robberies.
