This match serves as preparation for the upcoming championship starting on September 12.

In women's basketball, MBK Ružomberok has announced its pre-season schedule following three weeks of intensive training. The Slovak champions are set to face Basket Ostrava on August 28 and the Czech silver medalists Žabiny Brno on August 29. Their schedule also includes the Superpohár against Piešťanské Čajky on September 3 and a home double-header against Slovenian champions Cinkarna Celje on September 19.
