Bjelovar Technical School completes major energy renovation

The Bjelovar Technical School has completed a comprehensive energy renovation project aimed at improving efficiency and learning conditions. The modernization, which took place between late 2023 and late 2025, involved thermal insulation, window replacement, heating system upgrades including heat pumps and condensing boilers, LED lighting installation, and electrical and drainage system renewals.

The project, valued at approximately 2 million euros, was supported by 1.53 million euros in non-refundable funds. Key outcomes include a 55.31% reduction in thermal energy required for heating and a projected 91.65% reduction in annual primary energy use. Additionally, CO2 emissions are expected to decrease by 93.71%, and the share of renewable energy in the annual supply has risen to 15.38%.
