Bjorn Baker secures major wins at Rosehill with Warwoven and So You Are

Trainer Bjorn Baker secured two notable victories at Rosehill, highlighting the potential of two different horses for upcoming major racing features.

Warwoven won the Group 1 $1 million Golden Rose (1400m) by 3¼ lengths under jockey Rachel King. The victory marks the first time since 2019 that a horse has completed the Run To The Rose–Golden Rose double. Following this performance, Baker is targeting the Caulfield Guineas (1600m) on October 10 and expressed interest in the Cox Plate (2040m) on October 24.

In a separate performance, the stayer So You Are won the Colin Stephen Quality (2400m) at Rosehill, conceding 5½ kilos to the field. Baker indicated that the gelding’s primary goal is a Melbourne Cups campaign. Depending on handicapping and race scheduling, the horse may compete in the ATC St Leger (2600m) on October 17 before heading to Melbourne.
