BJP accuses Congress of staging delimitation drama amid claims of INDIA bloc disintegration

BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla alleged that the Congress is creating a delimitation controversy to hide its isolation within the INDIA opposition alliance ahead of the Monsoon session of Parliament. He said none of the alliance partners – RJD, Samajwadi Party, NCP, DMK – trust Congress, and the DMK will not sit with it.

Another BJP national spokesperson, Sudhanshu Trivedi, said the so‑named INDIA bloc is disintegrating on its own because of the deeds and incompetence of its leadership, questioning whether the alliance even formally exists. He criticised Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and accused the party of failing to secure a two‑thirds majority for the delimitation bill.

The Monsoon session is scheduled for July 20 to August 13, during which the government plans to introduce the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Amendment Bill 2026 and other legislation.
