BJP accuses Rahul Gandhi of misleading youth via new fact-check website

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of misleading the youth, citing a new website titled ‘Jhooth Ki Goonj’ that claims to fact-check his recent campaign.

During his ‘Chhatron Ki Goonj’ campaign, which focuses on issues such as unemployment, education, and paper leaks, Gandhi made 40 statements across cities including Kota, Dehradun, Prayagraj, and Pune. The ‘Jhooth Ki Goonj’ website, reportedly launched by Gen Z, claims that 29 of these statements were entirely false and 11 were misleading, based on an analysis of 134 sources including official government records.

BJP spokespersons, including Sudhanshu Trivedi and Anil Baluni, have used the website to attack Gandhi, labeling him a “flag-bearer of lies” driven by envy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The BJP stated they intend to counter Gandhi’s claims with facts provided by the platform.
