BJP accuses Sanjay Raut of orchestrating AI-generated audio conspiracy

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has accused Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut of orchestrating a conspiracy involving an artificial intelligence-generated audio clip. The recording purports to allege a Rs 500 crore payment to Maratha reservation activist Manoj Jarange.

BJP spokesperson Navnath Ban alleged that the recording was produced using AI and voice samples sourced from YouTube. The party claims the operation was planned at a ‘war room’ in Vashi, Navi Mumbai, with scripted conversations developed at the office of Saamana, the Shiv Sena (UBT) mouthpiece. The BJP further alleged that the amount mentioned in the clip was inflated from Rs 100 crore to Rs 500 crore to maximize media attention and that the operation was intended to benefit the Congress party and Rahul Gandhi.

In response, Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Shinde denied receiving any funds intended for Manoj Jarange. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has ordered a forensic examination of the audio recording to determine its authenticity.
