BJP adopts urban election strategy for Rajasthan panchayat polls

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is implementing a strategy for the upcoming Rajasthan panchayat elections modeled after its successful approach in previous urban local body elections. To prepare for the polls, the party has appointed in-charges ranging from divisions to individual panchayats.

As part of this roadmap, the BJP plans to release an election manifesto outlining a five-year development plan for villages, to be presented by Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and State President Madan Rathore. The party also intends to finalize candidate lists shortly before the nomination deadlines. To prevent cross-voting, the party leadership may employ measures to ensure winning candidates remain aligned with party interests through the election of district council heads.
