BJP and JD(S) align for Karnataka polls; BJP plans UP strategy meet

Political parties in India are intensifying preparations for upcoming elections. In Karnataka, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Janata Dal (Secular) [JD(S)] have agreed to a joint contest for four Legislative Council seats, including teachers’ and graduates’ constituencies. Leaders B. Y. Vijayendra and H. D. Kumaraswamy emphasized their unity, stating that the alliance aims to win all four seats and coordinate efforts to bring an NDA government to power in the state.

Simultaneously, the BJP is preparing for the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. The party will hold a two-day brainstorming session in Mathura on October 3 and 4. Chaired by National President Nitin Nabin and attended by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the meeting will focus on organizational strategy, strengthening grassroots structures, and reviewing electoral roadmaps across the state.
