BJP replaces Amit Malviya as IT Cell head with Deepak Mhaskey
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced a major organizational reshuffle, most notably replacing Amit Malviya as the head of the national IT Cell. Deepak Mhaskey, a political organizer from Chhattisgarh and former chemistry professor, has been appointed as the new social media convener to take over these responsibilities.
Malviya, who led the digital wing for over a decade, congratulated the new appointees, stating their appointments come at a “crucial juncture” for the party. The new social media team includes co-conveners Preeti Gandhi, Shivanand Dwivedi, Alok Bhatt, and Arun Yadav. Anil Baluni will continue as the media convener.
The restructuring extends beyond the digital wing. BJP National President Nitin Nabin has announced a new team that includes the appointment of 13 national vice-presidents, such as Vasundhara Raje Scindia and Ram Madhav, as well as a new roster of national general secretaries including Smriti Irani and Vinod Tawde. The changes are viewed as an effort to strengthen the party's organizational reach and digital presence across the country.
