BJP announces major organisational reshuffle across multiple Indian states

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has implemented a major organisational reshuffle across several Indian states to strengthen its grassroots machinery and prepare for upcoming elections.

In West Bengal, the party announced changes to its women’s, youth, and OBC fronts ahead of municipal elections. Key appointments include actress Anjana Basu as president of the Mahila Morcha and Amit Samanta as president of the Yuva Morcha. Several district-level changes were also made across seven organisational districts, including Barasat and Midnapur. The party is also adhering to a ‘one post, one person’ principle, resulting in some ministers being relieved of organisational duties.

On a national level, National President Nitin Nabin reassigned key roles to joint general secretaries. Saudan Singh has been appointed to oversee operations in Odisha, Bihar, Jharkhand, and West Bengal. Meanwhile, Shivprakash will manage affairs in Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Goa. Additionally, V. Satish has been tasked with managing the SC and ST Morchas and the party’s Parliament office.
