BJP appoints Kunwar Basit Ali as National Minority Morcha President

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced its new central executive team under National President Nitin Nabin. The new structure includes 8 national general secretaries, 13 national vice presidents, and 16 national secretaries.

As part of a strategic effort to increase Muslim outreach, the party has appointed two prominent figures from Uttar Pradesh to national roles. Professor Tariq Mansoor, a former Vice Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University, has been reappointed as a National Vice President. Kunwar Basit Ali, who previously served as the Uttar Pradesh Minority Morcha state president, has been appointed as the National President of the BJP Minority Morcha.

Basit Ali, who rose through the ranks from a local worker and ABVP member to state leadership, stated that the BJP is a party of workers rather than dynasties. He emphasized that responsibilities within the party are based on merit and work rather than family lineage. He also noted that the party's focus remains on national service and the welfare of all citizens, including the implementation of government schemes for minority communities.
