BJP Bihar chief Sanjay Saravgi urges voters in Bankipur by-election

Voting began in the Bankipur assembly by‑election in Bihar, with BJP leaders campaigning for development‑focused votes. Party state president Sanjay Saravgi told voters, “first vote, then feast,” urging support for candidates promising progress. He also alleged that the Jana Suraj Party was attempting to manipulate the poll by creating large numbers of fake ID cards.

The election commission and local authorities have deployed heightened security across Bankipur and simultaneous by‑elections in Datia (Madhya Pradesh) and Manjalpur (Gujarat) to ensure a smooth, peaceful voting process. Officials said all necessary preparations, including distribution of EVMs and monitoring of polling stations, are in place to guarantee free and fair elections.
