BJP claims victory in Banikpur Bihar assembly by-election

Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders Shahnavaz Hussain and party spokesperson Guru Prakash said the BJP candidate will win the Banikpur assembly by‑election in Bihar with a record number of votes. They highlighted the party’s long‑standing relationship with local voters and referenced the strong support the BJP received in the 2025 state election, suggesting a repeat of that performance on 30 July.

The leaders also mentioned the upcoming road‑show by BJP national president Nitin Navin in Patna, defended Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary against criticism from Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav, and praised the government’s paper‑leak prevention legislation that Prime Minister Narendra Modi introduced in Parliament. They further criticised opposition figures Priyanka Gandhi‑Vadra and Rahul Gandhi, accusing them of political posturing.
