BJP denies discord within Bihar NDA alliance

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has refuted claims of internal friction within the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in Bihar. The speculation follows the decision of two newly elected independent Members of the Legislative Council (MLCs), Rahul Raj and Banshidhar Brajwasi, to extend support to the BJP.

While the Janata Dal-United (JD-U) has questioned the move, specifically regarding the re-induction of Rahul Raj, who was previously expelled from the party, BJP State President Sanjay Saraogi clarified that the MLCs have not formally joined the party but have only extended their support.

Saraogi emphasized that the alliance remains united, citing recent joint programmes in Bhagalpur attended by leaders from the BJP, JD-U, Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM), and Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) as evidence of continued coordination and cooperation in governing the state.
