BJP holds ‘Jal Manthan’ workshop for water ministers

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) concluded a two-day ‘Jal Manthan’ workshop in New Delhi aimed at improving the efficiency of water resource management in party-ruled states. Organized by the BJP’s Department of Good Governance and Policy Research, the event was chaired by BJP National President Nitin Nabin.

Approximately 25 Jal Shakti Ministers from 14 BJP-ruled states participated in the sessions. The workshop focused on enhancing ministerial effectiveness, understanding India’s water resource landscape, and improving governance outcomes in sectors such as irrigation, rural drinking water, sanitation, and public health engineering.

Senior leader Vinay Sahasrabuddhe noted that the initiative seeks to help state governments achieve better performance through improved ministerial functioning. The workshop followed a broader conference of water ministers convened by the central government.
