BJP initiates SIR Mahasamparka voter outreach drive in Yadagiri, Karnataka

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) carried out a two‑day SIR (Special Intensive Revision) Mahasamparka campaign in the town of Yadagiri on July 25‑26. Party workers were assigned to visit roughly 20 households per ward, distributing enumeration forms and recording voter details on a simple app to update the electoral roll.

BL officers helped distribute the forms, and the party emphasized that eligible voters must not be disenfranchised. The Election Commission has given a deadline of August 8 for finalising the revised voter list, urging rural BL officers and volunteers to correct errors such as deceased voters, migrants and duplicate entries. The campaign is presented as a measure to strengthen India’s democratic process.
