BJP launches ‘Ballari Chalo’ protest march in Karnataka

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has launched the ‘Ballari Chalo’ padayatra, a major protest march aimed at criticizing the current Congress-led state government. The march commenced in Lingasuguru, Raichur district, led by BJP State President B. Y. Vijayendra.

The protest focuses on several grievances, including the alleged failure of the government to manage administrative issues, reductions in SC/ST reservations, lack of desilting in the Tungabhadra Dam, and delays in various welfare schemes such as Gruha Lakshmi, widow pensions, and elderly pensions.

High-profile BJP leaders are participating in the march, including Union Minister Pralhad Joshi, former Chief Ministers B. S. Yediyurappa, Jagadish Shettar, and Basavaraj Bommai, as well as Leader of the Opposition R. Ashoka. The march is scheduled to travel through several locations, including Santekelu, Gududuru, Sindhanur, and Karatagi, eventually entering Koppal district. The party aims to mobilize approximately 10,000 workers from each constituency involved in the route.
