BJP launches 'Save Democracy, Remove Anarchy' campaign across India

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has launched a nationwide campaign titled ‘Save Democracy, Remove Anarchy’ to counter allegations from the opposition regarding electoral processes. In Gujarat, party leaders including Union Minister J. P. Nadda held marches in Ahmedabad and Rajkot. Nadda defended the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, stating the process is necessary to remove ineligible voters, such as those who have died or migrated, and noted that such revisions were also conducted under previous Congress-led administrations.

In Delhi, the BJP scheduled a mega march from the Red Fort to Town Hall. The rally serves as a counter-offensive to the opposition INDIA bloc, which has planned a large demonstration for November 1 to demand the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. The opposition is protesting alleged electoral irregularities and the SIR exercise. Security has been heightened in Delhi to manage the expected turnout of approximately 15,000 participants, including Members of Parliament and Union Ministers.
