BJP leader Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh on Ram Mandir donation theft

Former BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh said he had already spoken about the alleged donation and offering theft at the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya four years ago, adding that “the game has been going on since day one.” He confirmed he has not visited the temple and declined to give further comment.

The controversy involves claims that large sums of cash, jewellery and even a gold‑plated copy of the Ramcharitamanas were stolen from the temple trust. Investigators have so far arrested eight temple staff and recovered more than ₹80 lakh in cash and valuables. Singh’s remarks echo opposition accusations that the probe is being shielded.

The issue remains a political flashpoint, with the BJP denying any cover‑up while opposition parties continue to press for accountability.
