BJP leader criticizes Arvind Kejriwal over Emergency remarks
Telangana BJP leader Prakash Reddy has criticized Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal following Kejriwal’s comparison of current Indian political conditions to the historical Emergency period.
Kejriwal recently claimed that the current administration is living under an “absolute dictatorship” and described recent security measures and detentions in Delhi as “worse than the Emergency.” His comments were directed at Prime Minister Narendra Modi in relation to the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) protests.
Reddy advised Kejriwal to consult senior leaders to understand the actual events of the Emergency, noting that fundamental rights were abolished by the Congress party during that era. Reddy also criticized the support shown by the AAP, CPI(M), and CPI for the CJP movement, which demands the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
