BJP leaders condemn PM Modi mimicry at Rahul Gandhi event

BJP leaders have condemned the Indian National Congress following a mimicry performance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi during Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Chhatron Ki Goonj’ event in Indore. The controversy centers on a stand-up comedian, Pulkit Mani, whose performance allegedly included disrespectful gestures and references to the Prime Minister’s late mother.

Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia criticized the incident, stating it was a “mockery of every mother in India” and lacked respect for Indian culture and traditions. Similarly, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw noted that the performance violated societal values regarding family and elders. West Bengal Minister Dilip Ghosh and Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami also criticized the Congress party, alleging that its political culture has caused damage to the nation.

In response, Congress leaders have dismissed the allegations as baseless. PC Sharma stated that the artist has performed similar mimicry on television and at various other venues, suggesting that the BJP is making these accusations out of fear. The Congress party maintains that the event was intended to focus on student concerns.
