BJP leaders in Telangana raise concerns over election integrity and landfill pollution
Telangana BJP President N. Ramchander Rao has criticized the Congress party following recent Legislative Council elections. Rao noted that while Congress has frequently questioned the integrity of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs), the party failed to secure a single seat in the recent polls held via ballot papers across four states. He characterized the Congress allegations regarding vote theft as baseless.
In a separate matter, Rao and BJP MP Eatala Rajendar have demanded the immediate relocation of the Jawaharnagar landfill. Participating in a padayatra, Rao questioned why National Green Tribunal (NGT) directives regarding the relocation and scientific capping of the dumpyard have not been implemented. He highlighted severe environmental issues, including toxic groundwater and widespread pollution affecting areas such as Edulabad and Osmania University.
