BJP Mahila Morcha protests against Congress in Varanasi and Ballia

The BJP Mahila Morcha has launched a series of protests across Uttar Pradesh, including Varanasi and Ballia, as part of the ‘Nari Shakti Hunkar Andolan’ movement. The demonstrations target the Indian National Congress over issues regarding women's respect and alleged misconduct.

In Varanasi, female activists held a procession from Azad Park to the Congress metropolitan office in Maidagin. Protesters criticized the Congress leadership for their silence regarding alleged misconduct by Rahul Gandhi toward a female police officer and the sexual harassment allegations against Congress MP Angomcha Bismol Ajoi. During the demonstration, women symbolically left bangles in front of the Congress office to protest.

In Ballia, a similar protest led by former minister Narad Rai saw activists climbing the roof of the district Congress office to chant slogans. The Congress party has accused local police of remaining silent bystanders during the incident and has expressed intention to file a complaint with the Superintendent of Police. Congress representatives also criticized the protest as an attempt to target the party's office premises.
