Nitin Nabin urges West Bengal to focus on youth policy and sports
BJP National President Nitin Nabin, during a two-day visit to West Bengal, called for a renewed focus on the state’s youth policy and sports sector to restore its cultural and athletic legacy. Addressing the ‘Yuva Samvad Conclave’ in Kolkata, Nabin stated that the state has transitioned from an ‘atmosphere of fear to trust.’
Nabin urged Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari to integrate arts, culture, and sports into the school syllabus by allotting marks for these subjects. He also encouraged the younger generation to engage more with physical traditions and culture rather than being limited by mobile phone addiction.
Regarding the economy, Nabin characterized the youth of Bengal as ‘job creators’ rather than ‘job seekers,’ citing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s promotion of the startup ecosystem as a model for growth. During his visit, Nabin also participated in local activities, including preparing the traditional street food jhalmuri in Kolkata.
