BJP President Nitin Navin directs leaders to refuse expensive gifts

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National President Nitin Navin has issued a directive to party leaders regarding political ethics and conduct. During a meeting with general secretaries, Navin instructed leaders to refrain from accepting expensive gifts, specifically citing items such as gold or silver crowns.

Navin emphasized that leaders should politely return any expensive gifts offered by workers to maintain public integrity and uphold the party's image. He noted that the personal behavior of leaders directly impacts the party's reputation and that the public holds those in public life to higher standards.

The directive comes ahead of upcoming elections in several states, including Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Goa, Manipur, Gujarat, and Karnataka. The party aims to prevent the perception that leaders are accepting luxury items from individuals seeking party tickets. Additionally, Navin conducted organizational reviews in West Bengal, focusing on IT and social media operations following recent assembly election successes.
