BJP protests in Delhi over MCD worker suicide

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) staged a protest outside the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) office in Delhi, demanding the removal of AAP councillor Vijay Kumar following the suicide of an MCD sanitation worker named Deepak.

BJP MP Yogendra Chandolia led the demonstration, alleging that the death was not a suicide but a murder caused by the councillor's actions. Chandolia accused Kumar of economic exploitation, claiming the councillor seized the worker's passbook and ATM card and subjected him to continuous harassment.

During the protest, which included the victim's wife, police detained several BJP leaders, including Chandolia and various MLAs, before releasing them after approximately one hour. The BJP has called for an impartial investigation and strict action against the accused councillor, questioning why the top leadership of the AAP has remained silent on the matter.
