BJP announces major organizational reshuffle across 28 states

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced a major organizational reshuffle, appointing new in-charges and co-in-charges for 28 states and eight Union Territories. The appointments, approved by BJP President Nitin Nabin, are intended to strengthen the party's structure ahead of upcoming assembly elections in several states.

Key appointments include Smriti Irani, who will oversee Haryana and Chhattisgarh, and Ram Madhav, assigned to Tamil Nadu and Uttarakhand. Vinod Tawde has been named the in-charge for Uttar Pradesh, while Baijayant Jay Panda will lead Maharashtra. Other significant roles include Sunil Bansal for Telangana and West Bengal, and Harish Dwivedi for Bihar and Karnataka.

The reshuffle also includes changes to the party's communication and media departments, with Anil Baluni appointed as coordinator of the communication department and Ashish Usha Agrawal named as the convenor of the national media department. Party leaders noted that the new appointments, which include 26 women among the 77 new office-bearers, reflect an emphasis on women's leadership within the organization.
