BJP slams Telangana Congress government over 1,000 days in office
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has issued a formal chargesheet against the Congress government in Telangana, marking its first 1,000 days in office. Titled ‘1000 Days of Betrayal’, the document alleges widespread administrative paralysis, financial mismanagement, and a failure to fulfill campaign promises.
BJP leaders claim the ruling administration has failed to implement its six core guarantees. Specific allegations include the non-implementation of the Mahalakshmi scheme for women, the failure to provide collateral-free financial support cards for students, and the inability to increase Rythu Bharosa agricultural payments or social pensions for senior citizens and persons with disabilities.
Additionally, BJP representatives criticized the state government over civic issues in Hyderabad, specifically citing a lack of pest control measures. They also alleged that the Indiramma Illu housing scheme has failed to deliver actual homes to citizens, remaining largely limited to public announcements.
