BJP spokesperson Keya Ghosh slams TMC and Mahua Moitra over transparency claims

On June 21 in Kolkata, BJP West Bengal unit spokesperson Keya Ghosh criticised Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Mahua Moitra for her remarks on electoral spending and financial transparency, saying she should first examine her own political past. Ghosh highlighted the wave of party‑switching after the 2021 state elections, arguing that many TMC legislators had previously been elected on BJP tickets. She also questioned the use of a private chartered aircraft by TMC national secretary and MP Abhishek Banerjee for a Delhi trip, demanding an investigation into the source of the funds. Ghosh praised the BJP‑led state government for bringing change, referenced Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent West Bengal visit and the celebration of International Yoga Day, and welcomed the inauguration of “West Bengal Day” on June 20 as a tribute to the state’s cultural heritage.
