BJP supports claims of high Gen Z participation in RSS

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has expressed support for a statement by its National Vice President, Ram Madhav, claiming that Generation Z (Gen Z) members constitute the largest demographic within the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). Madhav asserted that the RSS and the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) are among the most powerful youth-based organizations in the country.

BJP spokespersons emphasized that organizations such as the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) and Sanskar Bharati also see significant youth participation. They argued that the government remains committed to the aspirations of young people through initiatives like support for startups.

In contrast, the Samajwadi Party has rejected these claims. Party spokesperson Fakhrul Hasan Chand stated that Gen Z lacks trust in the BJP and its affiliated organizations. He characterized recent protests at Jantar Mantar as merely a ‘trailer’ for broader youth discontent regarding their future and rights.
