BJP holds first meeting of new national team in New Delhi

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) held its first national meeting of newly appointed office-bearers on August 22, 2026, under the leadership of National President Nitin Nabin. The 65-member team, which includes 51 new appointments, met at the party headquarters in New Delhi to discuss organizational strategy, upcoming state assembly elections, and grassroots mobilization.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the meeting, interacting with the new team to emphasize strengthening the party’s connection with the public. A key focus of the meeting was the ‘Modi@25’ initiative, which includes the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’—a month-long social service campaign scheduled from September 17 to October 17 to commemorate the Prime Minister’s 25 years in public life.

The party also announced a dedicated outreach program targeting Gen Z and Gen Alpha to better engage younger voters. Additionally, the BJP passed a resolution condemning the Congress Working Committee’s decision to limit the singing of the national song, ‘Vande Mataram’, to its first two stanzas, asserting the song’s historical and national significance.
