BJP vows no forgiveness for anti‑national statements, says minister Laxmi Narayan Chaudhary
In Firozabad, Uttar Pradesh, senior BJP minister Laxmi Narayan Chaudhary warned that the party will never forgive anyone who makes statements against the nation's unity or integrity. The comment was made in response to an AIMIM leader’s remark that the next prime minister should be young rather than 80 years old. Chaudhary stressed that the BJP values merit and cited past support for Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam’s appointment as president.
He also addressed the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, noting that cabinet changes are a normal prerogative of the prime minister. Union Minister Ramdas Athawale welcomed the appointment of Prahlad Joshi as the new education minister, describing him as an experienced leader.
